This is an excellent New York Times piece on the battles faced by people who simply want to grow food, not lawns, on their front yards. Editorial comment: why do we have to have grass anyway?

Happy Gardening!

Good to see people fighting to be able to garden instead of rolling over. As long as people keep pushing it will eventually be the norm.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be interesting to see how this movement evolves. There's got to be a way to incorporate growing your own food into city and surburban yards without courts and lawyers and irate neighbors. You shouldn't have to move to the country to experience something as natural as food. :)
